Osceola County Fair & Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show History
It all started informally in the early 1940’s on the grounds of the Kissimmee Livestock Market. Whether or not it started out to be, it became Kissimmee Valley Range Cattle Show. It was interrupted during the war years, but came alive for good in 1944. For many years it was simply known as the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show; however, in 1951 the name and scope changed to the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair Association. Twenty of the county’s leading citizens set their signatures to the articles of incorporation and Frank Poffenbaugh became its first president.

Original Kissimmee Valley Agricultural Center built in 1953.
A new facility at Osceola Heritage Park was constructed November 2002.
